Whois Jan 'luckyduck' Brinkmann
Since the day of my birth, the 23rd of June in 1982, I live in Schlangen. It's a small village in Lippe near Paderborn located in NRW/Germany. I'm currently doing an internship in Paderborn where I work for the firm Vegasystems in the domain of network administration.
Since the year 2000 I'm an enthusiastic GNU/Linux user. I love Gentoo Linux, but I also enjoy working with the BSD family of operating systems. I played around with a lot of distributions in the past until I installed Gentoo one day. Since then I'm a portage addicted person. I already contributed things to Gentoo and became a developer, but after a while I havnt had much free time left which I could spend to Gentoo and retired as a developer. I also enjoy a lot of other things which are related to computer networks and one of my other hobbies beside unix is programming, for example in Perl but also in C/C++ and Java. On weekends, I also enjoy having a great time with reallife friends on parties completly without any kind of internet connection. or computers at all.
